What you’re remembered for

I had a lovely e-mail from a former colleague today.  I used to work as a senior manager in the civil service in Edinburgh, in later years on a three day a week basis (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).  Those three days were always pretty mad – but then so was working five days, and this way I got a 4 day weekend to recharge my batteries, do other things, learn new skills, have fun, do nothing… You get the idea.

Anyway, the message was that this friend and his family were going to "do a Joanna" this weekend, finishing on the Thursday evening and returning at leisure on Tuesday.

The expression made me smile.  It seemed like a good way to be remembered :-)

  1. Hi Joanna, maybe that’s what we have in common, huh? – The civil service!

    How intriguing!

I love finding the connections that link all our stories together :)
